IDEEV research units take a stand against keylabs

IDEEV motion against keylabs : The staff of the three UMRs (GQE, EGCE and ESE) of the Institute for Diversity, Ecology and Evolution of the Living express their disagreement with the establishment, envisaged by the CNRS management, of a percentage of “key laboratories” that would concentrate most of the organization’s resources and staff. They are calling for the abandonment of this proposal, which puts units in competition and harms public research. Research must remain collaborative, mixed and equitable. They also express their concern about the decline in the resources allocated to academic research and university teaching in France and recall that research and higher education are key factors in development.

This motion was adopted by 93% of those who voted in an electronic vote organised by decision of an Extraordinary General Meeting.
