Stand-Up for Science, group Paris-Sud

Two conferences on Sciences and academic freedom: where are we ? were held on the campus from Université Paris-Saclay on april 8th and 10th 2025 and gathered more than 100 people. The videos and podcasts are available on our peertube channel   .

As suggested by our american colleagues, the objective now is to get organized for

• Securing an access to research data as opened as possible.

• Defending our academic freedom.

• Building-up an autonomous research and educational system, protected from political interference and authoritarian excesses..

Science is about describing the world as it is, not as we would like it to be !

The Paris Sud organizing committee is building-up. The missions are to organize local initiatives in june, in support of the national coordination. On the menu, the science festival in the street and the preparation of messages to reach our relatives, friends, neighbors. Join-us!

The Stand Up For Science   movement is calling for a continuation of the citizen surge begun on March 07   and invites all those involved in bringing knowledge to life. We are staff and students of the Université Paris-Saclay and organize events on our university campus. Join us
