Towards a sustainable agriculture

Timothée Flutre (GQE-Le Moulon) won a subvention (5keuros) from the graduate school Biosphera to study whether mixed species can implement beneficial interactions through complementation and/or facilitation, on the way to sustainable agriculture. Two experiments in true field environments are for the moment taking place on the Saclay plateau: two mix wheat-peas and two mix corn-beans cultures are compared to pure cultures.
