IDEEV and earthworms at Forum International de la Météo et du Climat

On Friday May 31 and Saturday June 1, IDEEV and ESE took part for the first time in the Forum International de la Météo et du Climat at the Académie du Climat, with an animation entitled “Dry soils, wet soils: what future for earthworms?

Earthworms, those animals essential to soil life, were the stars of this animation. The impact of weather disturbances and climate change, in particular soil drought, on their life cycle was discussed.

With the help of 6 posters and small experimental devices, the public was invited to discover the main earthworm species, their development, their habitat, their predators…

A joint IDEEV team ( ESE   , EGCE   , GQE   , external volunteer) answered questions from the numerous visitors who came to meet these fascinating animals, despite the very bad weather.
