Conservation and wildlife management are human endeavours that are designed, carried out, contested, and sometimes directly opposed by people. Dr Sarah Crowley is an environmental social scientist researching the politics and practices of animal management. Her work applies interdisciplinary research to understand improve the equitability and sustainability of wildlife and domestic animal management. This seminar will cover key findings and ideas from the last 10 years of her research on the human dimensions of managing introduced, reintroduced, and domestic species, from parakeets to domestic cats.
